Program Orientation

EMBA Program Orientation
Friday, July 18 - Sunday, July 20, 2025

Welcome to Haas! Your next 22 months in Berkeley promise to be engaging, busy, and full of wonderful experiences with your incredible classmates.

It all kicks off with Orientation, during which we hope to equip you with all the information you need to start your life as an MBA student. We'll introduce you to the academic program, career resources, clubs, social activities and everything else that Haas has to offer. There will also be plenty of opportunities to get to know your diverse classmates and start to form what will be lifelong friendships.

Orientation itself is mandatory and will run between Friday, July 18 through Sunday, July 20. Orientation will take place on the Berkeley Haas campus and hotel rooms will be provided for the evenings of the 18th and 19th. Orientation remains a mandatory aspect of the program - please mark your calendar, and plan to join us.

A more detailed schedule will be sent to you in late May. For now, please plan to be on campus from 11:00 am on Friday, July 18, until 1:00pm on Sunday, July 20.

What to do BEFORE Orientation

MBA life can be extremely busy, and we encourage you to prepare as much as you can before the start of the program. If possible, we strongly recommend that you spend the time before classes to get all your career and personal logistics out of the way.

You'll be glad you shared the academic calendar with your employer and your family members, perused your textbooks, and reviewed the Term 1 syllabi. From the moment Orientation kicks off, you will have so many things you want to do at Haas and in Berkeley!

We also recommend taking some time before the start of the program to think about what you want to get out of your Haas experience and thus what sort of things you will focus your time on.

Have Questions? Contact Your Student Ambassadors

If you have any questions before the start of the program, please feel free to email the EMBA Student Ambassadors listed in the Contact Us section. Other than that, enjoy your time before being a student, and get ready for the two Haasome years ahead!
