Preparing for New Student Orientation:
Life at Haas will be dynamic and fast-paced, so taking some steps to prepare before orientation begins can make all the difference. We strongly recommend arriving by July to allow ample time to get settled into your new environment. Here’s how to prepare:
- Find Housing Early: Begin your housing search as soon as possible. Arriving in July gives you time to explore neighborhoods, finalize your living arrangements, and settle into your new home.
- Set Up Essentials: Purchase furniture, household essentials, and other items that make your space feel comfortable. This setup phase is a great opportunity to make your new environment feel like home.
- Open a Local Bank Account: Establishing a bank account close to campus can simplify your daily life, making transactions and payments easier to manage.
Beyond the practical steps, we also recommend reflecting on your personal goals for the MBA journey. Spend time thinking about what you hope to achieve, both personally and professionally, and identify the experiences you want to prioritize at Haas. Many past students found this reflection invaluable, as it helped them stay focused and make the most of every opportunity at Haas.
Taking these steps now will ease your transition and allow you to dive fully into the Haas experience once orientation begins.
