Berkeley Haas is a place that is welcoming of students with families! Partners and families enrich our community and make Berkeley Haas feel like home. To help facilitate the transition to the Bay Area and business school, we encourage you to take advantage of the myriad of resources available through Haas and the greater UC Berkeley campus community. Students with children should review our resources on Kids at Haas, for information specific to children and student-parents.

Haas Partners Club

A warm welcome from the Haas Partners Club (HPC)! Our mission is to enable partners of incoming students to share more fully in your student-partner's MBA experience. We hope to create a sense of community for everyone in the Berkeley Haas family and ensure that you have the resources you need to enjoy all that the Bay Area has to offer.

The Partners Club organizes exciting events throughout the year, such as trips to San Francisco museums and festivals, monthly happy hours, coffee chats, book club meetings, family picnics, career fairs, and more!

We are here to support students, partners, and families throughout their entire time at Haas. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions — we are excited to meet you!

Insurance for Families

If you have dependents, you can purchase additional insurance coverage for them. For more information, please contact the Student Health Insurance Office.

Housing for Families or Partners

University Village
Located three miles west of the campus. The complex features its own recreational & community center, a café, laundry rooms, and child care support. Eligibility for each unit type is based on the size of your family, with one bedroom apartments available for couples or single parents with one child.

• Apply as early as possible. This is a popular place to live and there is a long wait list.
• Rental rates are reasonable and include all utilities except telephone service.
• Married students, domestic partners, and students with dependents are all eligible to apply.
• Registered students are also eligible to use the University's child care program, Early Childhood Education Program.
